Micro-needling
Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine and is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to naturally produce collagen and elastin. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels which can be used with topical gels, creams and serums to help improve the appearance of the epidermal layer of the skin.
Micro-needling can be used on hyperpigmented skin, uneven skin, acne scar & traumatic scars and stretch marks.
Micro-Needling can be used in conjunction with:
-
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) - HA is used to hydrate, heal and protect the skin during and after the process.
-
Growth Factors - . They help to maintain the skin’s youthful appearance by increasing cell renewal, cell defense, blood circulation and collagen and elastin production.
-
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) - Platelet activation plays a key role in the process of soft tissue healing.
