Chase bank hiring about 210 people in Tampa area
Chase bank is hiring about 210 people in the Tampa Bay area, mostly at its retail bank branches, the company said Wednesday.
Chase expects to hire 180 people to work as managers, personal bankers and tellers at its roughly 50 branches in the Bay area. The bank is an arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co., which bought the failing Washington Mutual three years ago.
Its Florida retail branches are primarily former Washington Mutual locations, but it is growing aggressively in the state and expects to add at least 375 branches in the next three to five years, company spokeswoman Nancy Norris said.

The company also is looking for more than 30 auto loan collectors, and it will hold two job fairs on Tuesday and Aug. 4 for the collector positions. The events will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day at its offices at 4900 Memorial Highway in Tampa.

JPMorgan Chase already employs about 5,000 people in the Tampa Bay area, including about 1,000 at its Memorial Highway offices, Norris said.
