It kind of stinks that Kyle Farnsworth has been really good this year because there’s an awful lot of mileage to be had with “man, Kyle Farnsworth is bad!” stuff. It’s something that fans of any number of teams can agree on too.  Well, except for Rays fans, who have watched him put up a 1.99 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 40 innings this season.

Buster Olney says he’s available , however, so there’s a chance that a whole new team can become acquainted with his charms, be they his old ones or his new, strangely effective ones.

All that being said, there are many relief pitchers available, so I'm not sure what, specifically, the Rays can expect to get for him.

Well, uh, I do not know. I just never want to see them again, that's all I know. Maybe they could use in a docu-drama made for television on pitchers with good speed to be excellent who have never learned to build things with hard to break, how to wilt under pressure and how to walk the bases loaded and the game once? A kind of public service on "How not to do." Either that or son together and use them as a boat anchor.I mean, this amount should easily hold suckitude even a warship to go to Niagara Falls, right? Hello there you pill pushin’ brachiator, howaya? I’ve been meaning to ask, what sort of monkey army are you in charge of, anyways? Are we talking old world, non-prehensile-tail jobbies or more the howler monkey, use-tail-to-fling-stuff type?

As for me, long days and nights running stat tests in SPSS 18. Unfortunately I have a grad-pack version that doesn’t give Fisher’s Exact test stat for chi-squares.Many of my data is less than 5 subjects in a given cell so I am a bit until I can drive 350 km strapped to my department and use their most advanced stats package. Then of course I'm fighting with my supervisor and the Committee on the type of tests. They all want to parametric and I repeat his very negatively skewed and highly non-normal. Failure of each test I used normal (Shapiro-Wilke, DAP omnibus, Eye on the Ball on the old bar graph, etc.). Transformer is an option but then they all start talking about how this is going quickly beyond the scope of a master's and doctorate in limbo.You have a big meeting tomorrow to put my shoes and say "non-parametric tests are good enough for me." Man I wish I studied snails or something. Good enough for Stephen J. Gould was not it? Healthcare research is a pain in the ass.

SPSS Graduate Pack copy paste issues « grimbeek.com.au

I’ve recently installed both Windows and Apple versions of SPSS 16 Graduate Pack.

While the graduate pack software works, it does so in a curiously limping fashion. That is, the copy and paste functions seem to be crippled – both in terms of copying and pasting from SPSS to Excel and when copying and pasting to Word.

One work around appears to be to adjust workspace to its maximum.

As follows:

set workspace 2097151.

show workspace.

Now copy and paste functions should work more normally.
